Wow! Found boots of speed at 400 feet.

Probably I will die soon anyhow...

Found my first artifact, the shield of Findi. Not great but the +3 WIS is very nice.

Next step is to cover the basic resists.

Really like the identify by using feature.

Progressing slowly. I found myself not spending so much time buying things from the stores anymore. I found things in the dungeon as I go deeper. I really like that.

Found the Phial and a special cloak.

Found some great articaft, at least compared to DLVL. Am I lucky or does is it easier to find artifacts in this version of Angband? Maybe it is because I have randarts enabled.

When I play randarts I usually wind up finding exactly 1 very good, endgame quality artifact around dlevel 20-40. And I also don't usually wind up finding anything better.

In my last randart winner, I found the weapon I used to take down Morgoth on dlevel 34, in my current game, on dlevel 32. So I would guess that it's a function of randarts. Nice weapon though!

Egos and artifacts are much more common in 3.1 than they were in 3.0.

So... Where are the stat potions?

Stat potions are less common in 3.1? I been around 1800 feet for a while now and havn't found any yet.

Stat potions are much less common in 3.1. Just figure your weapon counts as 5 extra stat potions or something.

The game is supposed to be engineered now so that you just keep going down, and find them now and then on the way, rather than worrying about a stat gain phase, but it is work in progress.

So far I really like this version of Angband. I havn't been stuck on any DLVL for long. I am not spending much time in the stores either, which is a good thing.

I will try diving a little bit faster from now on and trust the dungeon to give me what I need...

Currently below 2000 feet. It is starting to appear poison breathers. I can't remember how much they breath for, but I'm afraid of instant death...

Two potions of wisdom and a marvelous crossbow. Yeah!

Killed by a gravity hound. Didn't see the whole pack, but I should have expected it.
