This was really annoying. Excellent character, had just got my third blow and was smashing everything. Cleared a small vault, but a shimmering vortex had shrieked and woken up everything nearby. Along came a shapeshifter and turned into: Shelob. Didn't have many hitpoints, so breathing wasn't a problem, and melee wasn't hurting too much either, so what could go wrong? I was on nearly 200 HP before the final curse.
