That worked out pretty well, though I will admit to farming Green Worms for a bit.

Normally I don't dump before level 30-35 at least, but what I found on Smeagol prompted this early early dump... check out that shield! +4 STR, DEX, INT, WIS, Stealth! Plus, I have no idea what its hidden abilities are... This is looking really good so far.

Oh, and in case people were wondering, I chose Death as School, because I just couldn't forget how easily Hellfire rocked the Unicorn.. I figure, if I make it that far, it'll more or less guarantee me one Lazy artifact.

Had a bit more trouble than I predicted in the orc quest (because of lack of ?oPhaseDoor and ?oTeleport), and ended up using both !oSpeed, and 1 !oHealing.. Ah well.

It's not the first time I've gotten this--I assumed it was because of a clvl thing, or perhaps a time limit. Alternatively, it could be because I killed Golfimbul already in the Orc Camp Quest. Maybe the Bull Gates trick doesn't work for Random Quests?

Settled on quaffing and then swapping, and took care of them with some difficulty (using up all of my !oHealings before I cleared them).

Then went and grabbed the two !o*Healing* in the level, and went for the Jurts. One of them dropped The Crown of Amber, which allowed me to permanently put Jack's Cloak back on, and then the rest of the clearing was easy.

Then went back and did a few more round of Arena, and decided I could probably do the Old Castle (though it would be a bit difficult with only 2 !o*Healing*, 2 !oSpeed and no !oHealing). The two Lesser Titans were easy, but in the middle of killing the second Greater Titan, a Zephyr Lord woke up and filled the place with Plasma, Gravity, and Inertia Hounds. Doh! Teleported, but now I was really unhappy, with no more !oSpeed. Killed a few random monsters on the left side, and found 1 !oSpeed among the drops. Decided to use that to charge head-first into the Raal's room, and that risk was rewarded with the third Death book, with which I then slowly cleared out the Z's.

Unfortunately though... I can't actually use the Jacket! It would make my armor too heavy and make me lose 3 speed and lots of AC and blows. If I removed the Shield instead, then not only does my Stealth goes down the drain, I also don't get the extra blow because I lose 4 DEX, which bumps me down one "natural" blow. Sigh...

At under 100HP and the entire level littered with D's, chances of insta-death were entirely too high. Finally, I remember I had the Vampiric Drain spell, which could heal for 80-160. I casted that, and it boosted me to Full hunger status (i.e. so I can't do it again), but also boosted me to above 200 HP. Then I either got a double-move, or the Wyrm failed a spell, because I managed to teleport out without him doing anything. I landed in a relatively safe room with 2 Great Wyrms of Law. Teleported both of them away, and then recalled back to town.

Damn, and not even a single artifact to show for that tour-de-force, not to mention huge amounts of resource drainage..

Wandered around Dragon's Lair some more (careful to carry ?oTeleport Level this time--it was pure hubris that I didn't previously), and found an interesting item off Narse that I haven't ever seen before--the Mirror. It gives Reflection and ESP, and is also quite light at 5.0 lb, so I decided to use that to replace the shield I've been lugging with me since dlvl 8. And I just found out something very disappointing... you can't Double-Attack with a weapon! >_< There goes my super-awesome plan of double-attacking with the Stick of the Halfheart for 16 blows. Man, now I feel silly for taking Lazy personality.

Also started playing the pets recently, when three Capture Balls were on sale in the General Store. Captured a Great Wyrm of Law, and then managed to continually trade up, until I got the Sky Drake. Once they chain summon, it gets really SP intensive though--I don't think I can handle more than 3 pets at a time without my SP going to 0. :/

Also, has anyone else noticed that +ToHit, +ToDam, and +Attacks from Rings only count, if it's on the Right Finger? This means that my awesome RoExtraAttacks (+2) can't be used simultaneously with a RoSlaying, or even a RoPower (well, not for the slaying on them, at least). How do other people get around this?

Same thing goes if you are dual wielding. The ring on you left hand counts towards the weapon in your left hand, the ring on you right towards the weapon on your right.
