Attn Pav! Name not appearing on reply to character dump

Logged into forums. Posted a message to a character dump, and it did not show who replied. I don't mind being anonymous, but thought you might want to take a look at it

I checked the logs, and you indeed was browsing the forums, but the minute later you looked on the character dump, you was no longer logged in. You can tell easily - if you see the captcha (copy the text in image) thing in comment form, you're not logged in forums.

I don't know why is this happening - perhaps you had two windows of Firefox around, and was logged in one but not in the other?

A completely unrelated problem, but if I click on one of my older dumps (registered under my email address), I get a link to all my other characters including new ones. However if I click on a newer dump (registered under my forum login) I do not get this option.

That's by design - your new dumps have the same email address recorded as your old dumps, but the old dumps don't have the forum login recorded.

I have just updated them to all look the same.

Thanks, but now I don't have the related link to any of my dumps! On my older ones I used to have something like "Best of 7 for this user" clicking on this then showed all my chars. Now it doesn't give me this line at all.

The second one uses my older email address, hope it doesn't matter. You can send a verification email there if you want, I can still read it.
Or you can just forget it as this character is beeing lost on some old and no longer used hard drive now


Will linking dumps and forum account hide my email adress from the dump page? Spam increased a lot since I posted my email there (might be unrelated though).


Otherwise, I have a bug that might be related to something said ealier on this thread : I'm loggued into the forum but when I go to the ladder main page, the "Submit your character!" section still asks me to give my email address or log into the forum. Same thing if I want to write a comment on a dump.

Quitting my web browser and relogging fixed it. Probably a problem only for accounts created in the same browsing session.
