help my archer survive
Hi all, this is my best archer so far, but around the current depths of 600-700 i'm basically just running away from most things.

No flaming arrows or crippling shot? Is it damage or accuracy you're having trouble with? (For flaming arrows, you'll need a macro to toggle the skill so you can turn it on and off easily.) Shame you haven't found a better bow. Shining arrows make a huge difference.

If you can get listen that would be a big help. Currently your archery range is effectively 2 as that's how far you can see.

I think this is the worst depth to be at for archers because of cats and generally large pack sizes. You might want to try diving to 950', dumping all the XP into archery and stealth, and then picking on all the monsters there. Listen would also be great because of gwathrauko and dark serpents, but might be expensive now that you have loremaster.

Both what Pete is saying (flaming arrows would really improve your damage & you have arrows to burn) & what debo is saying are good. Just be really careful with grotesques if you dive as you currently don't have a solution. You have loremaster, look up their depth under ~. As long as you can't break 1 you want to pass through that depth as quickly as you can.

thank you all. good advice. i however died to the next pack of cats and a kemenrauko... well, i'll try again, using flaming arrows and perhaps diving through those depths
