Competition 175 is up. It's a PosChengband 3.4.5 roll-your-own-magic-user. The competition was motivated by this thread.

Depends on what you're after. A centaur ranger with trump or sorcery for the 2nd realm is pretty powerful if you can stand the xp penalty.

Human mage. Take ordinary, patient, or lucky personality, and then do Armageddon/Sorcery. As your CL30 perk, take Subtle Casting.

Alternately, taking Life as your secondary realm can help a lot.

If you're taking life you're probably better off on a priest. Say life/armegeddon/patient.

The whole point of the competition is to try them all and then report which ones are the sucky ones so the devs know not to add those to vanilla :-)

^ That means you're about to encounter a wilderness room / vault or a random dungeon entrance (in water/lava)
