Competition 167 is up. It's a Sil 1.2.1 Holiday Competition.

In additional to the normal present-opening shenanigans, this character has one more surprise waiting for you.

Obviously this isn't intended to be a super well-balanced contest, so if you have the slightest inkling to play christmassil over the holidays, please post your characters here instead of mucking up the main ladder

Wow Debo, this competition has given me something to waste time on... deterministic present opening! Time to chart how many free moves it takes to get a badass present, then die 3 turns later. Thanks!

By the way, what is this extra secret? If you don't tell me I might actually have to play your Christmas competition just to find out.

I have not yet figured out Debo's secret. I actually have a non-compo Sil character that received Calris as a present. What I *truly want* is Celeg Aithorn!!

I actually didn't write down the number of steps for Calris, so no worries.

But I *did* for that sword you guys all like. What's it called again... oh yeah, Saithnar. I'm not playing the comp, but I'm dying to know that secret!

Saithnar is nice, yes. But, Celeg Aithorn is foremost the one I'd want anyways and is by far the rarest one that took me > 200 presents to get it last year.

For what it's worth, I think you can just rest a different number of turns to get different stuff

Also, the secret is not very secret: It's already clearly outed in Hugo's competition dumps. (We don't often play disconnected stairs in sil comps, I thought it would be "fun".)
