Reporter wanted
I'm looking for someone who would keep an eye on the Angband world, and submit news items for this website from time to time. I'm only following newsgroup these days, and usually only once per week on weekend, so I tend to miss important events or post them with big delays.

I sometimes contribute news items - pav must have given me the power to at some point, I guess - but I notice now that there have been several variant releases while I wasn't watching and none of them are announced. Maybe it would be good if several people had this power?

Perhaps there should be a thread dedicated to requesting announcements. That was anyone could submit news for potential inclusion, which would relieve people of needing to write up the post part.

Maybe this thread would do, or a new, dedicated, sticky.
And unless everyone wants to see more of the last-six-months-news-digest just posted, I would encourage people to post announcements to that thread when stuff actually happens.

Woo, someone mentioned my name in connection to an Angband variant! Too bad Jackband got nowhere... it was intended to be something akin to Multiband, but based on a modern Angband codebase... but then when Sangband came back alive, what was the point of that anymore?
