Mid-Game Advice?

I've finally gotten a character past DL 40, thanks to the tons of great advice from RGRA and here! But I'm a little unsure about what my next goals should be.

Any advice?

That's a powerful character EXCEPT:
You have pathetic HP, and you are missing RConf and RPois.

You can afford to give up a lot of speed at your current depth for all 3 of these.
You are stuck on RConf, but you should find some better armor RSN.
For the others:
Colluin for RPois and temporary double resist
* Balli for CON, SI, and FA OR
* Theoden for CON and ESP; Crown of Might for FA and More CON (Use the bow for big damage)
With Theoden, you might want to use Thorongil for SI, with Colluin as a swap for RPois

Also: carry some Fire-branded ammo for Undead, and maybe some poison-branded ammo for the occasional odd-ball. Don't bother if the monster is not susceptible to one of these brands.

Well, coincidentally enough I just found some Rohirrim armor (rConf,rSound,rFear) and the Resistances of Scarabtrices on the same dive. Sweet!

I haven't had too much trouble with elemental attacks so far - that means I'm going to die soon, doesn't it?

That is the usual cruelty of the RNG. You think that you are invincible and hack your way through the dungeon - until out of nowhere something breathes ... or invokes a manastorm ... or casts a nether bolt ... or breathes disenchantment or plasma or gravity or ....

Or all of these in one turn because you didn't see that Storm of Unmagic break through the pseudo-vault, and it's pissed off from a shrieker mushroom patch.

I mean hypothetically.

Wouldn't you know it, a Storm of Unmagic just DID break out of a vault and breathe on me. Luckily it didn't do much and I conked it on the noggin immediately afterwards.

But thanks for giving the RNG the idea.

A storm of Unmagic is just annoying as hell. The only vortexes that you really need to watch for are Time and Shimmering.
