mages stuck in their room
I think it's more a feature than a bug, but it looks like the mages are stuck in their nest; I walked right past their door on the upper right of the screenshot, and nobody came out. Not that I mind too much to be honest; my character is far too weak to take on those druids and sorcerors.

They're stuck behind an apprentice mage. None of those guys can push past weaker monsters.

There are three apprentice mages next to the door and iirc they are smart enough to open the door if they are awake. So I think this works exactly as intended.
If you are a low stealth character trampeling around nearby they will wake up, open the door and everyone will come out following them. If you are stealthy and maybe because you detected well you avoid the area near the door everyone will stay inside. If you open the door, whether on purpose or by accident everyone will come out. |

It's a nest. All the monsters are awake. I don't think stealth matters in this situation. My guess is they can't open a locked door.

Again: low level monsters flee much higher level @. I don't know the rule, but I suspect you qualify.

Here's another related bug. If you use an unided staff of banishment and escape out when asked which monster to banish, that costs a charge. With an identified staff it does not cost a charge.
