Ranger inventory question

I haven't played rangers much; thought I'd give one a try in the new version.

Man, I run through arrows in a hurry! These things are dang fragile! :-) How many inventory slots do you usually devote to arrows? Or do you just run back to town a lot more than other classes do (at least in the early game -- after that I don't imagine the plain town arrows will be much good anyway)?

I devote 3-4 slots for arrows usually. Once you get the dungeon book, there's a create arrows spell which will generate arrows from a (random) staff. So less necessary then to buy them in town, usually there are enough staves laying around that I never run out of arrows.

The Create Arrows spell is in the latest 4.20 version.

Create arrows is great. Tried out an archery only ranger with the spell in mind. Ironman, so no shops. Worked out great although I typically used 3-4 inventory slots for staves. Heavy stuff so speed potions and items are important in the early mid game
