Feature Req: Easier Hotkeying

What would be really nice is to have a button that would do the work of both inscribing a wand, staff, or rod, and set the appropriate macro. Like, I use F7 to DTreasure. If I find a rod to do it, I usually reset the macro to use the rod instead. Or F4 to switch from Light Area to using the Phial. Or F8 to various forms of Identify. I don't hotkey attack spells and wands for that exact reason, because it's too much of a pain to switch the hotkey when I run out of charges or want to use a different spell. It should allow you to set a "attack nearest" macro, or just a use macro. It would make the early game much less tedious.
