Tilesets and *bands

So, I like to play wiht the Gervais (SP please) tileset and most of the games dont support, I supposed is the right word, them. I was playing DJangband and all the monsters had tiles but they were using the wrong tile. The mouse was a jackal and the worms were bats. It was crazy.

Help please?

I've started working on tile sets for many variants. Since they are incomplete, sporadically updated, and don't necessarily comply with 'Angband licensing' they are more often than not not included with the 'official release'.

Luckily for you, the DaJ set, though incomplete, is quite good. Follow the above link. Feedback appreciated.

Deal with it, there's not anything you can do. It's normally remedied by keeping the tile size small (8x16) and turning on 'Double Tile Mode' (FA and Vanilla). However, Double Tile Mode isn't included in DaJ, and for that matter, most other variants.

You could always reduce the tile size by altering (the first occurrence of) these two lines in the DaJAngband.INI file. While shrinking the tiles, it will also reduce the amount of blank space between the text. It would be wise to maintain the 1:2 ratio.

TileWid=16
TileHgt=32

You could also try selecting a larger font, just don't exceed your TileWid, TileHgt setting. Spacing between the letters will remain constant (TileWid), but the letters themselves will be larger, thus less blank space. NOTE: You will have to exit the game and reset the TileWid, TileHgt (to your preferred settings) after changing the font.

MediaFire is both annoying (for you) and free (for me). It's very nice on my end (no pop ups or ads or any of that crap), and just a little annoying for the person downloading the file.

Yeah it doesn't matter, just as long as the end result is good. Thank you. ASCII gives me a headache, so the graphics help for the marathon experience.
