Morgoth drops One True Ring?

I managed to kill Morgoth, but narrowly escaped with my life for all the other summoned creatures.

I was lucky enough to accidentally pick up his Mighty Hammer 'Grond'. In some reading, I'm beginning to think that maybe he drops the One True Ring as well? Is this right? If so, I didn't get it and now I'm really bummed. Have been trying to find it since.

Nope, The One Ring is not in the Morgoth's fixed drop. Other than Grond he always drops his Iron Crown.
The One is by far the rarest artifact in the game, people have been playing for years without ever finding it.

Thanks for the reply. The Crown was actually what I was thinking about. Bummer.

What are my odds of finding it elsewhere?

Zero, unfortunately. Morgoth's hammer and crown are never randomly generated, they only - and always - appear when he is killed.

So I'm afraid you are out of luck.

Always really means always. Even in a no-artifacts game!

Actually you can find the one ring if you keep going after you kill Morgoth. I've found it twice that way, but at that point it doesn't help because you have already won the game so what is the point. But I have found it once before killing Morgoth. It was pretty damn cool and made the rest of the game go a lot faster: ) I haven't been playing a year yet btw.

Found it three times, used once. Cool, but not immediately "this I just have to use". Feanor is better. Aggravation really sucks.
