Sangband crashes on launch

Just downloaded sangband_windows101129 and it launches with a fullscreen black screen and then crashes immediately.

Is this a known issue?

Windows 7 64bit Laptop

Nevermind this. I guess I was trying a weird version that I found through the variants list on oook.cz:
http://angband.oook.cz/variants.php

And ended up with that build.

I downloaded Sangband 102 from
https://code.google.com/p/skills-ang...indows_102.zip

And it worked fine.

I have a similiar problem. I realise this is years ago so the chance of you replying might be small. :P I tried this version and still have the same problem. Any ideas on what was causing it?

Is it showing the black screen immediately when you start your computer? I remember old Angband variants had a bug in the Win client that was locking some fonts, so you had to reboot sometimes.

Hmm, tried to restart and start Sangband, it seems to be the same problem. Black screen. But I noticed now that i can quit the program by pressing "Q", so it might just be an font issue.
But I took out my ancient laptop running Windows XP, and it works on that so I am not in dire need anymore. Getting used to the roguelike keyset. :P

Try setting run as winXP in advanced properties.
