Diving Tips for Warriors
I started playing Angband as a Warrior, like everyone else, and then moved onto mages and priests. Now when I go back to Warrior, the lack of detection drives me nuts. How do you all dive with Warriors? The lack of detect traps and detect monsters stops me from diving as quickly as I'm used to. Any suggestions?

Rods of trap location are quite common around dlvl 5.
Monster detection isn't that easy. Staffs of detect evil may work until you find a rod of detection. |

Detect traps shouldn't be a problem, since the rod is dl5. For monsters, staff of detect evil and teleportation are critical. Also rods of light make a huge difference. Hounds are much less trouble if you can see them down a hallway.
