Buying and examining items in shops is awkward
I can select an item using the arrow keys, but then when I press g to buy one or x to examine one... the game asks me which one I want to buy/examine?! What's the point of allowing me to select items with the arrow keys if that selection is completely ignored? I guess some folks prefer the old style of pressing g or x first, so maybe there could be an option that toggles between that method and the method of selecting an item with the arrow keys?

This was a compromise among those who wanted the old action-object mechanism, and those who wanted object-action.
If you prefer the latter, just hit <return> after picking an action. |

Oh, cool, thanks! Didn't realize I could do that!
