I see it is less than functional for the variant you're playing. Vanilla screen dump has long been updated monster list and colors. Without those, it's less useful.

It was broken at one time, but was soon fixed. It's main problem is being largely forgotten.

There is in game support for dumping screenshots with the ')' command. Here's a (boring!) example using the 'f'orum option.
